Building on the foundation of CPP I-IV, CPP–Applied Tactics pushes your skills to the next level by pressure-testing your ability to apply tactics in a realistic protective environment. This course places a heavy emphasis on movement, fighting to and from cover, gaining the initiative, and maximizing your tactical advantage. You will refine your critical thinking and problem-solving abilities under complex, high-pressure scenarios.
Given the high probability that you may not be alone during a defensive encounter, the afternoon session introduces partner tactics. You will learn how to effectively coordinate with a partner or loved one to create a decisive advantage in a dynamic and potentially lethal force situation. While students are encouraged to take this course with a partner or family member, it is not required—those attending solo will be paired with a fellow classmate for the partner-based drills.
