CLOSE RANGE RIFLE/CARBINE ESSENTIALS @ SUMNER GUN: SATURDAY & SUNDAY JANUARY 25 & 26, 2025 8AM - 5PM

$600.00

American Rifleman Series - Close Range Rifle Carbine Essentials takes key elements from the coursework we present in the Close-Range Rifle/Carbine, Intermediate Distance, and Scout Marksman series and synergizes it into a 2-day course that we can bring to your location. This course will help you develop an Individual Protective System based, around a rifle/carbine, that is unique to you. Whether just stepping down the path to personal protection or you are farther along, this coursework will help in preparing you to be your own First Responder and having the confidence to protect yourself and your loved ones if trouble comes to you. Starting with how we can develop a Protective Mindset and Spectrum of Awareness, we will cultivate the ability to identify problems, avoid them, deescalate, and if they can’t be avoided, having a action plan in place to critically think and problem solve, up to and including lethal force application.

On the range, we will start with rooting you in a foundation of the application of the fundamentals of marksmanship, identifying a correct zeroing distance and zeroing procedures, rifle/carbine manual of arms, ready positions, close range engagements out to extended distances, and give you an understanding of the balance between precision and speed with performance shooting. Human reaction and processing speeds will be integrated and intermixed with realistic context and how to process a cognitive load for protective applications. The applied tactics of movement, cover usage, verbal commands, and understanding post-conflict protocols will all be integrated, giving you a well-rounded system that you can have confidence in if you ever find yourself in a critical situation as a well-prepared Armed Citizen.

Prerequisite: This is not a novice course, but all we require is that you can safely handle a rifle, come with an open mind, and be ready to train. For questions about requirements call or email.
