COVERT PROTECTIVE PISTOL ESSENTIALS: SATURDAY & SUNDAY JUNE 14 & 15, 2025 8AM -5PM
Covert Protective Pistol Essentials takes essential elements from the coursework we present in the Covert Protective Pistol series and synergizes it into a 2-day course that we can bring to your location. This course will help you develop an Individual Protective System that is unique to you. Whether just stepping down the path to personal protection or you are farther along, this coursework will help in preparing you to be your own First Responder and having the confidence to protect yourself and your loved ones if trouble comes to you. Starting with how we can develop a Protective Mindset and Spectrum of Awareness, we will cultivate the ability to identify problems, avoid them, deescalate, if they can’t be avoided, and have action plans in place to critically think and problem solve, up to and including lethal force application.
On the range, we will start with rooting you in a foundation of the application of the fundamentals of marksmanship, presentation from the holster, ready positions, sighted and alternate sight alignment methods, and give you an understanding of the balance between precision and speed with performance shooting. Human reaction and processing speeds will be integrated and intermixed with realistic context and how to process a cognitive load for protective applications. The applied tactics of movement, cover usage, verbal commands, and understanding post-conflict protocols will all be integrated, giving you a well-rounded system that you can have confidence in if you ever find yourself in a critical situation as a well-prepared Armed Citizen.
