PRECISION MARKSMAN: (PRIVATE CLASS) FRIDAY, APRIL 18, 2025 8AM-5PM
This comprehensive course combines the foundational principles of long-range precision shooting with practical application, guiding students from the fundamentals to effective engagement at extended distances.
We begin with rifle configuration, optics setup, and an understanding of units of measure as they apply to precision shooting. Students will be grounded in the core fundamentals of rifle marksmanship, including proper zeroing procedures and structured marksmanship drills. Starting with classroom instruction, we will quickly transition to the range for hands-on experience with your chosen rifle.
Building on the fundamentals, students will expand their knowledge by learning about environmental effects on long-range shooting, data collection, and muzzle velocity assessment. The course includes grouping exercises and data collection out to 400 yards and beyond, along with traditional and unconventional positional shooting methods. Improvised shooting rests, stability techniques, and an understanding of personal limitations will also be covered.
By the end of this course, students will have a strong foundation in precision rifle marksmanship and the practical skills needed to engage targets effectively at long range. This course serves as a stepping stone for those looking to further their skills in advanced long-range shooting applications.
