9mm Ammo Earrings
Each earring is personally handcrafted and has its own touch of uniqueness and character. All are made with great attention to detail.
The shell casings are real and have been shot in our firearms training classes. Because each pair is made from recycled shells, they are not perfect and may have slight imperfections.
My process is quite expansive. I start by collecting the shells from the range, put them in a tumbler for 2 hours to polish them, reload each casing with a real bullet, polish them a second time with a very fine grit sandpaper, remove the lead with a dremel, drill a hole in the spent primer where I screw in an eye hook and add a bit of superglue to ensure they don’t loosen, add the ear wire fishhooks and finally dip each one in a high gloss lacquer so they do not corrode or oxidize. Note that gun powder is NOT added so these bullets can not be fired.
